It has been a privilege to have been a Labour MSP for North East Scotland since 2003.
I have sought to stand up for the North East region ever since I was elected to Holyrood along with Marlyn Glen. We have a huge job to do across the North East to bring more voters back to Labour and that has been central to my work.
In opposition I have campaigned with our MPs, Councillors, members and trade unions to highlight how the SNP have let down the North East, where they have promised so much. New schools on track with Labour have been delayed or cancelled under the SNP. Key transport projects have been put hold or scrapped. In the North East where the SNP are in council administrations they are at the forefront of closing down vital services for the most vulnerable.
We can be proud of our record in local and national Government in delivering for the people of the North East. In the next few months I am committed re-electing our MPs and winning new Westminster seats. I will do all I can to see us back in power in the councils in Aberdeen and Dundee and winning more seats in Aberdeenshire and Angus.
Yours sincerely,

Richard Baker MSP |
